Iris the Unicorn Cuddler

Iris the Amigurumi Unicorn Cuddler

Like Muriel and Daisy the cow cuddlers, Iris the Unicorn is taking cute and functional up a notch and multiplying it by ten. She’s comforting, weighted, you can warm her up for the perfect snuggle buddy- and she doesn’t steal your blankets in the night!

Iris is the second cuddler in this series, and was partially inspired by Lion Brand Yarn’s Ice Cream Shop Cotton Yarn. Seeing that beautiful rainbow color just screamed, “Make me into a unicorn now!” I’ve loved working on this series, imagining different animals to snuggle with— and it seems just as quick as they’re off my hook they’re in someones arms warm and cozy. If you’d like to read more about how she came to be see my last post which is the first pattern in the series!

She is available on Ravelry and Etsy for $5.00. $1.50 from each pattern sold will be donated to Unshattered, as inspired by Noble Farm No Bull’s highland cow Muriel.

Unshattered is a nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to end relapse for women in recovery from addiction by providing pathways toward economic independence and sustained sobriety. Unshattered employs women in recovery to handcraft premium bags and accessories from upcycled materials including military uniforms, Broadway sets, manufacturing excess and more. They also make gorgeous custom bags from your family heirlooms. Learn more, shop, or donate at www.unshattered.org.

Save her on Pinterest and Ravelry. She is the second in this series and next month I’ll release the 3rd animal in this series, the bear cuddler.

I’d love to hear what other animals you’d like to crochet and cuddle, and if you make her tag @hookedandleft #IristheUnicorn and leave me a comment to let me know what you think!
